100 Thieves announce Nitr0 to Valorant roster – Daily Esports

100 Thieves officially announced that Nicholas “Nitr0” Cannella will join their professional Valorant roster. Nitr0 joins retired CSGO veteran Spencer “Hiko” Martin, with the remaining three slots open. 100 Thieves had previously signed Team Highground, which was comprised of ex-PUBG professionals. The initial signing of Team Highground left fans sour due to the lack of professional CSGO players on the roster. Hiko’s statement about not creating the team himself only emphasized the issues with fans and the team going forward.

A rumor over Nitr0’s move to 100 Thieves from Team Liquid’s CSGO roster came out late last night via ESPN Esports. In their Valorant show on Twitch, Tyler “Fiononfire” Erzberger revealed that multiple sources reported 100 Thieves were in deep talks with Nitr0. These rumors became official when 100 Thieves announced Nitr0’s signing on August 14.

100 Thieves announced that they would be releasing their previous squad from Team Highground moments before Nitr0 was signed. They originally signed Team Highground as a four stack, replacing their 5th member with Hiko to complete the team. Unfortunately, the team could not click together and were eventually released.

100 Thieves Valorant roster now unfinished

After releasing Keane “Valliate” Alonso, Diondre “YaBoiDre” Bond, Zachary “Venerated” Roach, and Alfred “Pride” Choi, the team is now down to two members. 100 Thieves is now looking to build a new roster with Hiko as team captain and Nitr0 as the second member. Both Hiko and Nitr0 previously played together on Team Liquid’s CSGO team and have demonstrated chemistry already. They also played many years of competitive CSGO and have a way they want Valorant to be played.

Hiko revealed that the team has not put them on a time restraint to finish the roster. He also mentioned that he and Nitr0 would be working together to find players for the team. There is a lot of talent currently in the scene for them to potentially pick up in the future. There have yet to be any more rumors on who the Thieves might pick up.
