Beyond the Summit Pro Series Season 3 heads for SEA and EU/CIS

As Beyond the Summit Pro Series Season 3: Americas is
underway, the organisers have now confirmed separate events heading to
Europe/CIS and Southeast Asia – both kicking off in just two days.

Beyond the Summit Pro Series Season 3: Americas begun its
round-robin group stage only three days ago, with 10 teams from North and South
America battling for a share of the $50,000 prize pool. Last night, BTS
announced via their Twitter that season 3 would be heading across the ocean
too, to include the EU and CIS regions – with nine teams from these regions also
fighting to become champions of their region.

The teams from EU and CIS are:

  • Ninjas in Pyjamas
  • Vikin.gg
  • 5men
  • Khan
  • B8
  • Team Unique
  • Team Empire
  • HellRaisers
  • Mudgolems

BTS Pro Series Season 3: EU/CIS is set to kick off in just
two days, on September 12th, with a round robin group stage which
leads to only the team in last place being eliminated, while the top eight
advance to playoffs – with the top four making it to the upper bracket.
However, this was not the final announcement from BTS, as this morning they
confirmed another event.

Earlier today, BTS announced that another regional iteration
of the Pro Series Season 3 would be on the way as Southeast Asia was added into
the mix. The SEA event features 10 of the best teams from the regions and some
new rosters too, which will all be fighting for a $50,000 prize pool.

  • 032

  • Among Us

With a lot of recent roster changes and team updates after Valve’s information on the Dota 2 Pro Circuit, this SEA event is sure to be an absolute blast with the likes of Among Us – a combination of ex-Fnatic and Geek Fam players, as well as 032, which was formed by regional veteran, Michael “ninjaboogie” Ross as well as two players from Team Adroit.

While the event may just be fun for some, for teams such as Fnatic, this will also be the first we see of their new roster with Nico “eyyou” Barcelon recently joining. However, it is possible that the SEA giants will still be without Daryl Koh “iceiceice” Pei Xiang for the event and as such, a stand-in has not yet been confirmed.

BTS Pro Series Season 3: EU/CIS and SEA are set to be extremely
spectacular events, both of which begin in only two short days, meaning that a
lack of Dota 2 action will never be a problem.
