BLAST postpones Premier Fall Showdown due to change in Major dates

BLAST has unveiled the postponement of its BLAST Premier Fall Showdown due to a change in the dates of the ESL One Rio Major. The event has been moved back one week to take place November 25th to 29th so as to not compete with the Major.

ESL One Rio was pushed back earlier today due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. The New Champion’s Stage would now be taking place from November 19th to 22nd which was on top of the Showdown’s dates of November 17th to 22nd.

They also stated that a new streaming schedule would be coming soon.

The Rio Major was set to take place this May, but the ongoing threat of the coronavirus has forced ESL to readjust their course. Michal “Carmac” Blicharz confirmed that the venue will remain the same and ticket purchases already made will still work.

The event will have some changes, however. Those changes have not yet been made available.
