Lance Mudd has joined Ohio-based gaming talent discovery and competition platform eFuse as its new director of international expansion. Mudd joins the company from the United States eSports Federation where he worked for nearly four years as its sports director. Previously he served as an advisor to Wave Esports for seven months and spent more than four years as the esports director at the San Diego Exploratory Foundation.
In his new role, Mudd will work with eFuse CEO Matthew Benson and CSO Patrick Klein to build and execute an international expansion plan, help the company secure and execute partnerships and sponsorship campaigns, and build relationships with international partners.
Mudd joins a growing list of new hires for eFuse in 2021 including Halina Malik (a former Cavs Legion manager of content and marketing who joined as the marketing and partnerships manager in March), Neil Duffy (former CSL Esports exec who came on in January as chief revenue officer), and Herb May (former director of partnerships at the Houston Outlaws, who took on the role of director of partnerships).
