Esports veteran Jan Neumeister has joined GameSquare Esports as the international esports company’s new head of European operations. Neumeister comes to GameSquare after a stint as SVP of media and partnerships at FaZe Clan, where he was responsible for crafting and executing the company’s European strategy, developing brand partnerships, driving asset acquisition in the European Union, and scaling FaZe Clan’s footprint outside of the United States.
In his new role, Neumeister will be tasked with driving organic revenue growth in the European Union and finding cross-selling opportunities with GameSquare’s North American operations.
Neumeister has nearly 20 years of experience in media, digital marketing, and monetizing assets, and has helped guide brands, platforms, and talent through the rapidly evolving new media landscape in esports, sports, and entertainment. Before FazeClan, Neumeister was the head of commercial media for City Football Group which owns several soccer clubs and soccer-related businesses including Premier League Champions Manchester City FC, New York City FC, and Melbourne City FC.
