Martin “Deficio” Lynge, former League of Legends professional player and LEC commentator, has been hired by Misfits Gaming Group as director of Misfits Gaming Europe. Lynge will join the Berlin-based team to oversee all Misfits Gaming activities in Europe, including overseeing growth and development of the organization’s League of Legends operations as well as identifying future opportunities for EU development, including expansion into new titles.
Lynge entered Europe’s professional League of Legends ecosystem as a member of EU LCS teams Copenhagen Wolves and Ninjas in Pyjamas. After retiring from competitive play, Lynge joined the commentary team for the LEC (then known as the EU LCS). In 2019, he left the LEC to join Astralis Group as the general manager for its League of Legends brand Origen.
Misfits Gaming Group operates three distinct esports brands due to its activities in Activision Blizzard’s franchised leagues. Currently, the Misfits Gaming brand operates in just two titles – League of Legends and Clash Royale.
