Renegades make mithR official

Renegades have officially brought in a Dane to help guide their Counter-Strike team. Having been on trial with the team in May, Torbjørn “mithR” Nyborg has been signed as the teams coach. He had a two-week trial before continuing to work with the team throughout June up until his official signing.

Renegades had previously been without a coach since Neil “NeiL_M” Murphy left the organization. NeiL_M currently serves as the head coach for c0ntact Gaming.

Things have been going quite well for Renegades since mithR began working with the squad with the majority Australian side picking up 11 out of 13 victories. This includes a victory at the ESL One: Road to Rio – Oceania along with DreamHack Masters Spring – Oceania, the two biggest events for them in recent time.

With the current global pandemic COVID-19 preventing LAN events from taking place, we have yet to see the lineup show their merit outside of an online environment and that’s what mithR will be hoping to get them ready for.

Coming out of the upcoming player break, the Counter-Strike scene will be hoping to get things back on track in regular fashion but at this point things aren’t looking great.
