Srf joins CDEC Gaming on a trial basis

CDEC Gaming’s squad have been bolstered lately with the
likes of Wang ‘Ame’ Chunyu joining the team earlier this month – but now it
seems as though Shen ‘123’ Chao has become inactive on the roster.

According to a post made on Weibo by LGD esports Club, CDEC’s position three player, Shen ‘123’ Chao has asked for a break and temporarily gone inactive. This left a hole in the team’s lineup which was quickly filled by Sun ‘Srf’ Runfa who joins the team on a trial basis. With the team about to start their playoff journey at the China Dota 2 Development League Season 2 over the next few day, Srf will get a chance to show off his talents. Srf has bounced around to through a few teams such as Royal, Vici Gaming Potential and most recently Keen Gaming – who he played for at the recent StarLadder ImbaTV Season 3 Minor China qualifiers.

According to the post on Weibo, the results of the trial period
will be decided this weekend as CDEC attempt to continue their currently
unbeaten run at the China Dota 2 Development League Season 2, with the first
game starting in just under 12 hours. After acquiring Ame just a few weeks ago,
this will be the first time since the regional qualifier for the Minor and
Major that we will see this CDEC squad in action as they attempt to make their
way through the playoffs and claim a spot in the China Professional League for
next season.

With the club announcing the full team list after this trial period, it will be interesting to see if Srf can hold the spot on the team or if 123 will return from his hiatus to reclaim his position on CDEC Gaming. For now, it seems that the team will go ahead playing this weekend and hoping for the best results.
