Team Aster are the StarLadder ImbaTV Dota 2 Minor Season 3 Champions

Another champion of the Dota 2 Pro Circuit was crowned today
when the StarLadder ImbaTV Dota 2 Minor ended after a grand final between Team
Aster and Alliance.

Earlier in the day the lower bracket finals were played
between Alliance and Gambit Esports as both teams were hoping to reach the
upcoming ESL One Los Angeles Major via winning the Minor. While Gambit were
able to take down Alliance in the group stage, the playoffs were a completely
different story. Alliance were more than up to the challenge and took a 2-0 victory
and secured a rematch against Aster, this time in the grand finals.

It was clear from just the first two games of the grand final series that Alliance were going to have a tough time overcoming Aster as the Chinese squad seemed leaps and bounds ahead of everyone at the Minor. It took a little over an hour in total over the first two series for Aster to destroy Alliance and give themselves championship point as they hoped to remain unbeaten entirely.

However, with their backs against the wall and the tournament quickly slipping away from them, Alliance finally found some life in the next game. Utilising a magnificent lineup with a Death Prophet to quickly run at their opponents, never letting them really get their heroes online and with that became the first team to take a game off Aster at the Minor. But it was nowhere close to enough, when Alliance attempted to do the same thing with Death Prophet and Faceless Void in the next game, it failed dismally.

In half an hour, Aster had already opened up an 11k net worth lead and Alliance were suffering under the effects of a Gyrocopter + IO draft. The Chinese squad gave Alliance absolutely no chance when it came down to it and in the end would claim victory at StarLadder ImbaTV Dota 2 Minor Season 3.

The win will see Team Aster claim the final spot at the ESL One Los Angeles Major which is now just one week away as the Dota 2 Pro Circuit continues to wind its way towards The International 2020.
