U.S.-based esports organization Tempo Storm announced Tuesday that it has “officially” partnered with energy drink brand G FUEL. Over the last five years G FUEL has worked with Tempo Storm as a sponsor of its Counter-Strike: Global Offensive team, a tournament sponsor, and on various events and activations.
Under the terms of this new partnership, Tempo Storm’s creator community will work with G FUEL on content creation for the remainder of 2020 and into 2021. It will also work with the brand on activations, product discounts tied to the team, events, and other content.
Founded in 2014, Tempo Storm fields several esports teams in such games as Hearthstone, Super Smash Bros., Magic: The Gathering, Shadowverse, PUBG Mobile, and Rainbow Six Siege.
In February, Tempo Storm secured a $3.3M USD financing round led by technology investor Galaxy Interactive. At the time the organization said it would use the funding to “grow far beyond the confines of the traditional esports organization.”
G FUEL is an energy drink brand owned and distributed by West Babylon, New York-based Gamma Labs. The brand sponsors a number of esports organizations and popular streamers including Jaryd “Summit1g” Lazar, Nick “NICKMERCS” Kolcheff, FaZe Clan, YouTuber Felix “PewDiePie” Kjellbergm, and many others.
