Esports and gaming lifestyle company XSET announced Thursday a partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters of America (BBBSA) to raise awareness on the need for mentorship of young people in America, raise funds to support the mentoring organization, and generally help promote gaming and esports as a career path.
As part of the partnership, the BBBSA logo will appear on XSET professional players’ jerseys and the organization will be featured during live streaming events, social media activations, and other marketing activities. XSET said in a release that $5 USD from every purchase of BBBS/XSET co-branded merchandise will go directly to BBBSA.
In addition, XSET talent such as Raidel “Joke” Brito and Jordan “ProoFy” Cannon will serve as official “Big Ambassadors” in Detroit, Michigan, and New York City where they will meet regularly with “Bigs” (adults) and “Littles” (children) in the program to share advice on careers in gaming.
The partnership kicked off with an exclusive live virtual event in NYC with Raidel “Joke” Brito and in Detroit with Jordan “Proofy” Cannon.
