It seems like Nintendo is preparing to release a new Nintendo Direct stream very soon – at least, that's what the rumours we reported on yesterday seem to suggest.
With Animal Crossing: New Horizons now available and selling like hotcakes, Nintendo will be keen to show the world at large what else it has up its sleeve, ready to trot out over the coming year.
Yesterday, KitGuru teased that a Nintendo Direct is being planned for later this week. This was claimed by the same Twitter user who previously leaked E3’s cancellation, so you know they can be trusted.
Now, more evidence is amassing to suggest we'll be seeing a Direct showcase debut this week.
Star Wars: Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy was confirmed for Switch last September, alongside Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast, but since then news about the game has been pretty quiet.
Until today. The PlayStation Blog has announced that Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy will arrive digitally on the PlayStation 4 on 26th March – a day many are assuming the Switch version will also debut on.
"Take on the role of a new student eager to learn the ways of the Force from Jedi Master Luke Skywalker," reads the description.
"Interact with famous Star Wars characters as you face the ultimate choice: fight for good and freedom on the light side or follow the path of power and evil to the dark side."
Will Nintendo provide a Direct, and launch the game on its platform on the same day? It's a good theory, and one we're hoping comes to pass – it's been forever since the last Direct and right now people need something to look forward to.
