PS5 stock is arriving in the UK this month, but it’s clear that it will not be enough to keep up with demand.
With the busy holiday season starting, there’s going to be a rush of people trying to snag a next-gen console as the perfect gift.
And that’s why any news regarding when the new PS5 restock is happening can prove so important.
Without any prior knowledge, it makes picking up a new PlayStation console extremely difficult.
The good news is that there are stock tracker accounts that are keeping an eye on which big store will be getting stock next.
And based on the latest information shared, Argos will be one of the next stores to provide PS5 stock for purchase.
The UK retail giant is expected to add new consoles for digital sale around October 20, meaning it’s still a week away from dropping.
And when it does arrive, there is no guarantee that there will be a lot to go around, with Argos providing each local store a certain amount of digital stock.
The news has been shared by PS5 Stock UK – a reliable stock tracker account on Twitter – which is known for providing the best guides on what’s happening next.
They have also revealed that Currys will be offering more stock during October 2021 that will not be open to the general public to buy online.
Instead, those who have signed up to the Currys VIP services and have already been designated a place in the list will have a chance at buying a console later this month.
The message posted on Twitter by PS5 Stock UK reads: “A few warehouses have received shipments of PS5’s, both Disc & Digital Editions, with the remaining warehouses expected to receive shipments by the end of this week. Sales to the public are expected around 20th October.”
Knowing when a PS5 restock is happening can be vital, but it’s also worth knowing how each retailer handles its shipments.
And here are a few examples of how best to try and buy a PlayStation 5 console from leading UK retailers:
ARGOS: The Argos website is notorious for crashing and being unable to complete purchases when site traffic is high. Stock trackers suggest using the mobile Argos app and keeping an eye on local store listings. New PS5 stock is expected to arrive on October 20.
AMAZON UK: Amazon UK runs better under strain but still comes with a few kinks worth mentioning. Having an account set up with your card details is a good start, and gamers should also try adding a console to their wishlist before checking out.
GAME: GAME is a UK retailer that offers the most regular stock updates for PS5 consoles. However, console hunters have been warned to use Guest Checkout, as this option is less likely to crash when completing a purchase. The latest GAME restock arrived on October 12 and has now sold out.
