Battlefield 6: EA release teaser for ‘next generation technology’
The Battlefield 2042 beta start date has been scheduled for this week, and gamers can already prepare for it on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
Developers DICE is making it possible to preload BF Beta before it launches this week, making it possible to jump straight into the action.
The good news is that the Battlefield beta pre-load begins on October 5 at 8am BST on all platforms.
The bad news is that not everyone will be able to access the beta at the same time.
While the Battlefield open beta will be available to everyone, gamers who have pre-ordered will get early access.
WHEN DOES THE BATTLEFIELD 2042 BETA START?
The Battlefield 2042 beta will start on Wednesday, October 6 for those who have pre-ordered the game, or who have an EA Play membership.
The test version of the game has a start time of 8am BST, meaning you can preload now and be ready for launch soon after.
Meanwhile, the Battlefield 2042 open beta start time has been scheduled for October 8 at 8am BST, and will run until October 9, 2021.
The Battlefield 2042 Open Beta is available to play on PC (via Origin, EA app, Steam, and Epic) and console (PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S).
The only downside for console players is that while PlayStation Plus is not needed to participate in the Open Beta, Xbox Live Gold is for Xbox One and Xbox Series X.
EA has confirmed that gamers will experience classic Conquest gameplay during testing, with a map selection currently consisting of Orbital – a map where enemy fire and chaotic weather conditions can help or hinder your fight.
More on the overall experience of the new Battlefield games can be found below and reads: “The new Specialist system lets you choose your role on the battlefield and form hand-tailored squads.
“Based on Battlefield’s four Classes, Specialists have one unique Specialty and Trait – but the rest of the loadout is fully customizable.
“Choosing and equipping your Specialist allows you to build synergies within your squad and empower yourself to take on any battle situation. There will initially be ten Specialists available in Battlefield 2042.
“You’ll be able to use a full roster of cutting-edge weapons, vehicles, jets, helis, and all-new equipment inspired by the near-future of 2042. Summon the Ranger, a robotic dog built for battle, use the Syrette Pistol to heal squad members from afar, employ a grappling hook to reach new places, don a wingsuit, deploy a recon drone, and more.”
The full Battlefield 2042 experience is expected to arrive on November 19 at the same time on all compatible platforms.
