Bayonetta: How To Unlock Jeanne

The classic beat ’em title Bayonetta is now available on Xbox One on PS4 via a re-released bundle with Vanquish, both of which are titles from PlatinumGames. Bayonetta has some unlocks, including a character named Jeanne, that can be gotten in a variety of ways

Jeanne is a character in Bayonetta who is a rival to the protagonist, Bayonetta. They had become best friends at a young age but later sealed off Bayonetta, becoming a nemesis and an antagonist in Bayonetta.

Nevertheless, Jeanne is a playable character in Bayonetta and can be unlocked in a couple of different ways.

First, Jeanne can be unlocked by beating the game on Normal difficulty. This is the most convenient method and just requires that the player finish each chapter on Normal difficulty, but there is a caveat here in that players are required to get a Platinum medal on each chapter finished at the Normal difficulty setting. As Bayonetta isn’t an easy title, this may take a few tries and a lot of patience, but this method is the “normal” method.

The other way to unlock Jeanne is through, essentially, a cheat code. During Chapter 2: Vigrid, City of Deja Vu, players will come across three different telephones. Jeanne can be unlocked here by using a cheat code at one of the telephones. It will cost you one million Halos, but the reward could be worth it.

You can use the cheat code by standing in front of the telephone behind the pillar by inputting one of two different button combinations, depending which console you’re on.

For PS4 owners, the cheat code will be Up, Up, Up, Up, Down, Down, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, X.

For Xbox One players, the cheat code will be Up, Up, Up, Down, Down, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, A. Save for one less “Up” on Xbox One, the combination is very similar.

Those are both of the methods that can be used for Bayonetta on PS4 and Xbox One. Currently, you can get it as part of the Bayonetta and Vanquish: 10th Anniversary Bundle, available for $39.99 on the PlayStation Store and Microsoft Store.
