Blizzard DOWN: BattleNet server status latest, Call of Duty and Warcraft affected

Blizzard down reports are flooding in right now, with BattleNet server problems affecting popular games such as Call of Duty Modern Warfare and Warcraft.

Independent outage monitor Down Detector has today received a surge of Blizzard BattleNet down reports.

Out of those affected some 58 per cent are experiencing login issues while 40 per cent have been hit with Blizzard BattleNet server connection issues.

The Down Detector outage map says the Blizzard BattleNet issues are mainly affecting those in the UK, US and Europe.

The Blizzard BattleNet Customer Support Twitter accounts have confirmed the server issues that have hit fans today.

The Blizzard Customer Support Twitter for Europe tweeted: “We’re currently investigating an issue affecting our authentication servers, which may result in failed or slow login attempts. #BlizzCS”.

They later added: “The investigation into the connection issues continues. #BlizzCS”.

While the Blizzard CS Americas Twitter account wrote: “We’re currently investigating an issue affecting our authentication servers, which may result in failed or slow login attempts.”

As the Blizzard BattleNet server issues hit fans took to social networking site Twitter to report issues with the service.

One tweeted: “No way Blizzard is down”

Another posted: “Blizzard down, no warzone with the bois”.

One added: “Blizzard is down”.

And another wrote: “Is Blizzard down for anyone else or just me?”

The Blizzard down server issues come after the release of the new Call of Duty Warzone free mode on BattleNet.

The free-to-play Battle Royale shooter became available to play on Blizzard BattleNet on Tuesday.
