Deathloop voice actor didn't have a PS5 so Bethesda bought him one

The voice behind Deathloop’s protagonist jokingly asked Twitter for a PS5, only for Bethesda to actually send him one.

Everyone knows that the PlayStation 5 is still difficult to get hold of. It’s not just the general public either, even voice actors are struggling to buy one – which in some cases can mean they can’t play the games they’ve appeared in.

For instance, Jason Kelley, the voice of Deathloop’s protagonist Colt. In a special message on the game’s official Twitter account, just ahead of its launch, he said he’d appreciate it if somebody could get him a copy of Deathloop and a PlayStation 5.

He later admitted that he was just doing a bit and didn’t really expect anyone to fulfil his request. But, in response, Bethesda’s senior vice president of communications Pete Hines said ‘I can probably help find you a PS5 so you can play it. You deserve a chance to play as Colt and enjoy your own amazing performance.’

When Deathloop does arrive on Xbox it will immediately be added to the Game Pass service, since at that point it will be a first party title.

Deathloop is available now for PlayStation 5 and PC.
