Season of the Chosen has brought back many fan-favorite weapons to Destiny 2. Bungie has brought back eight weapons, split evenly between the Dreaming City and Moon weapons. These weapons have also seen revised perk pools.
Most of the reissued Moon weapons retain their “god roll” combinations. Apostate, Heretic, Blasphemer, Premonition, and the Dreambane armor set are all up for grabs. Unlike the Dreaming City, there aren’t many avenues for chasing these weapons. Still, if you’re determined to farm for the best rolls on each of these guns, there are a few activities that you should be aware of. Here is every way you can obtain Season of the Chosen’s reissued Moon gear in Destiny 2.
Lectern Of Enchantment
If you only care about obtaining Dreambane Armor, the Lectern of Enchantment can craft Dreambane gear that isn’t sunset. As you’d expect, the armor you’ll get out of this has terrible stat totals, hovering around the 50 mark. Reissued weapons cannot be crafted at the lectern.
Here are the Essences required to craft each Dreambane piece:
- Essence of Pride: Dreambane Helmet
- Essence of Isolation: Dreambane Gloves
- Essence of Fear: Dreambane Chest Armor
- Essence of Anguish: Dreambane Boots
- Essence of Despair: Dreambance Class Item
Altars Of Sorrow
Farmable: Yes (no restrictions)
Gear Count: 1 per successful Tier VI run
Unlike the Dreaming City’s Blind Well, the Moon’s Altars of Sorrow activity can be farmed as many times as desired. Each successful run will grant a specific weapon based on the boss you fought. Bosses rotate daily.
There are three bosses tied to Altars of Sorrow:
- Zydron, Gate Lord: Drops Heretic.
- Phogoth, The Untamed: Drops Blasphemer.
- Taniks, The Scarred: Drops Apostate.
No loot lockout exists for this activity. You can farm a boss multiple times in a given day and receive a weapon for each run. Curated rolls can also drop from the final boss, albeit the chance of this happening is quite low. Note that only guns drop from this activity. If you want to farm Dreambane armor or the Premonition Pulse Rifle, you’ll have to complete encounters in the Pit of Heresy dungeon.
Pit Of Heresy
Farmable: Weekly (once per character)
Gear Count: 3 per character
While Pit of Heresy has multiple encounters, only three give loot: the first encounter, the Chamber of Suffering, and defeating Zulmak. Neither hidden chest grants reissued gear.
This is the only way you can obtain high-stat Dreambane armor and the Premonition Pulse Rifle. Armor that drops from this dungeon has at least a stat total of 60, mostly biased towards two stats. You can only obtain three items from Pit of Heresy per character per week. It does not work like the Prophecy dungeon; multiple runs on a single character will not grant loot.
