Bungie has confirmed that they have big plans for this week’s Destiny 2 Trials of Osiris rewards across PS4, Xbox One and PC.

This week’s Crucible event is kicking off today, February 12, at around 6pm GMT in the UK, with new armour to earn from scratching together wins.

The Season of the Chosen will include new Trials of Osiris rewards, with each weapon boasting an Adept version with unique mods.

It should be noted that while there will be new rewards to check out, not all of them will be available straight away.

To earn Adept weapons and Adept weapon mods, players must complete a Flawless Trials Passage and open the Flawless chest at the Lighthouse.

Their infusion caps will match the Season they were introduced in, and here’s how Adept weapons differ from the base weapons:

  • Masterworking an Adept weapon grants additional stats.
  • +10 for the primary stat as usual (the specific Masterwork of the weapon).
  • +3 for all alternate stats.
  • Adept weapons can use either a standard weapon mod or a new Adept weapon mod earned when going Flawless.
  • A unique Adept shader has been made for these weapons.
  • These shaders are not awarded as a consumable when dismantling an Adept weapon. As such, they cannot be applied to other pieces of gear.

A message from Bungie explains: “Each weapon will also have an Adept version with special mods.

Destiny 2: Bungie release trailer for 'Beyond Light' expansion

“For the first week of Trials, armour and adept mods will be in the Flawless Chest. The second week is when you’ll have your first chance of the Season to grab an Adept weapon.

“Along with these new weapons and armour, Trials has some new cosmetic rewards to show off as well.

“The Ghost Shell drop chances increases as you win matches and increases when you hit the 3/5/7 win and flawless milestones each week. The ship and Sparrow drop chances increase every time you go flawless. Here is a look at the rewards.”

There’s a lot of emphasis on Guardians reaching the Lighthouse, which is where the best rewards will be available.

But even if you can’t reach the Lighthouse, you can start collecting some new gear from wins 3, 5, and 7.

And away from Trials, there is also the weekly bounty that grants the 3-win-reward upon completion.

For Guardians in the United States, the Trials rewards will be up for grabs at the earlier time of 10am PT.

Bungie has also confirmed that a new Destiny 2 update will be going live after the latest Trials end on Tuesday, February 16.

Below are some issues that will be resolved with Hotfix 3.1.0.1, with a complete list being shared when the update goes live.

Salvager’s Salvo can now be reclaimed from Collections.

Vendor tooltips will no longer say they require Trials Tokens to rank up reputation.

The Whisper of Chains Stasis Fragment will now properly grant damage resistance when standing near-frozen enemies.

Swapping between Challenger Medallions or Cabal Runes on the Hammer of Proving will now refund currencies used.
