In 2000, the first X-Men movie was released, and it help reopen the door for comic book movies–which Blade unlocked a couple years prior. 20 years and 13 movies later–if you count the Wolverine, Deadpool, and upcoming New Mutants movies–everyone knows who the X-Men are. In other X-Men news, creator of Deadpool–Rob Liefeld–recently spoke up about whether or not we’d see a third film in the franchise. “I don’t know,” he told Inverse. “Here’s what people don’t want to hear, but thank God I’m a realist. I feel like Deadpool, the movies, they’ve set sail. We got two brilliant movies, and we live in a culture that always looks forward because all they’re ever selling us is ‘next, next, next, next. Yeah, you like that? Here’s next. It’s the fever.”
