John is the best character for beginners in Hood: Outlaws & Legends. However, some of the hardest achievements in the game are associated with him, proving that there is plenty of room to learn and master this character.
This guide will cover how to unlock the Man Mountain achievement in Hood: Outlaws & Legends.
How To Unlock Man Mountain In Hood: Outlaws & Legends
Man Mountain is unlocked by killing five enemies in a row with John’s melee attacks without dying.
To complete this achievement/trophy, you need to utilize John’s brutality in melee combat. Although it seems difficult, there are some useful tips that will help you unlock Man Mountain with ease.
Coordinate To Use Abilities
John’s melee attacks are always powerful, but using his ability makes them even more so. Wrath makes John deal more damage with each swing, whilst also giving him infinite stamina with which to smash through opponents.
Tooke is another melee character in Hood: Outlaws & Legends, but his ability will greatly help with this achievement. If you have a friend who plays the game, ask them to play as Tooke. They will be able to use his healing ability to get you back to full health, giving you more time to kill enemies and earn Man Mountain.
Focus On Guards
Like the Hitwoman achievement that can be earned whilst playing as Marianne, Man Mountain does not specify which type of enemy you need to kill. That means you don’t need to focus on enemy players. Instead, turn your attention to the NPC guards that roam Hood’s various fortresses. These have less health and are much more predictable, making them the perfect targets.
When the heist begins, explore the edge of the map. Whilst the action and chaos ensues within the walls of the fortress, you can slaughter the guards placed on watch outside. Try to avoid armored knights though, as they are much stronger than the average guard. You will be able to identify a knight from their purple health bar, rather than the usual red.
Take Your Time
Although the five enemies need to be killed within the same life, you don’t need to kill them all at once.
Don’t expect to take on five guards at once and make it out alive. This is sure to spell disaster, as you will be quickly overwhelmed. Instead, opt for a scattered collection of 1v1 fights that you can definitely win.
