Persona 5 Royal, Persona 4 Golden, And Persona 3 Portable Coming To The Switch

Persona is coming to the Switch in a big way. The same trio of games hitting both PlayStation and Game Pass, including Persona 3 Portable, Persona 4 Golden, and Persona 5, are coming to the Switch.

The news dropped today on both the Nintendo Direct Mini as well as Atlus's own YouTube channel with a new trailer confirming the trio of titles coming to three different platforms. This was first revealed during the Xbox Bethesda showcase as a Game Pass release, which was soon followed up by a tweet confirming their release on PlayStation 4 and Steam. With today's announcement, the bundle now has a confirmed Switch release, completing Persona's journey to all major platforms.

Sadly, Persona 1 and Persona 2 don't seem to be getting their own update. Fans have expressed their displeasure on social media, but this is likely a result of limiting the bundle to what could be handled on the least hardy platform, which would be the Switch. Perhaps we'll get another Persona bundle later on that'll include both earlier Persona titles.

For those that haven't played Persona, each game generally follows a group of Japanese high schoolers as they explore both relationships and a strange other world where they fight and team up with demons. They're a long series of games too, so expect anywhere from 250 to 350 hours, or even more for completionists.

Prepare for Persona 5 Royal to first arrive on October 21, with the other two games to follow later.

In other Persona news, a Persona 5 fanzine has unfortunately fallen on hard times after the former head mod spent $27,000 of the magazine's funds on Genshin Impact. The mod was only caught after colleagues discovered they no longer had funds to mail out preorders. In an emotional statement, the fanzine organizers directed backers to the head mod's personal email for additional legal action and announced an emergency fundraising effort to finish mailing pre-orders.
