For anyone who hasn’t played The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, time is running out to start your adventure on PS Now.
Sony has confirmed that the popular RPG is being dropped from the service next month to make way for new PS4 games.
It’s one of several games leaving the service during September 2021 but is easily the biggest name of the bunch.
The Witcher 3 has been available for three months on PS Now, the shortest time available for a game to be featured.
Another big game set to disappear during September is Borderlands 3; however, this isn’t scheduled to happen until the end of the month.
This means anyone who wants to test out the popular looter shooter still has a full month to do so.
Meanwhile, The Witcher 3 will be disappearing from the PS Now library on September 6, complete with whatever additional content was made available.
Further out, Judgement is set to leave PlayStation Now on October 4, with Streets of Rage 4 and Red Dead Redemption 2 disappearing in November.
For now, we don’t know what new games will be replacing The Witcher 3 this month but we do have a good idea when the news will be shared.
With the new PS Now games expected to arrive on September 7, we could hear more about what’s coming next on August 30.
Failing that, Sony could wait until September 6 to spill the beans on their plans, combining it with the launch of the next PS Plus games.
Playstation Now offers ‘hundreds of games on demand’
We also know that Sony is only launching PS4 games on the PlayStation Now service at the moment, which rules out any PS5 games being included.
Most titles are cross-gen, but some, like Demon Souls, remain PlayStation 5 and next-gen exclusives.
Sony guarantees that each month there is at least one indie game added to the PS Now library alongside other PS4 games.
Last month, Sony added Undertale as the official indie game of September, which has no removal date attached.
This went live alongside Nier: Automata and Ghostrunner, with full description for each game available below:
