PS Plus October 2020 update following great free PS4 games news

There’s plenty to look forward to past the new PS Plus October free games being planned for next week. While we still wait for the announcement, it won’t be long before we find out what new titles will be added to the roster next month. There’s going to be plenty of PS4 predictions for fans leading up to the big reveal, and you can bet first-party exclusives will be among them.

Days Gone seems like a great candidate for inclusion, but we will have to wait for the official information from Sony before planning its gaming lineup for October.

The tech giant could undoubtedly use a big title to show off following the news that Doom Eternal is launching on the Xbox Game Pass.

And it wouldn’t be surprising to learn that other big Bethesda titles are being lined up for the service over the coming weeks.

When it comes to the actual reveal date, Sony has become less predictable of late.

We used to expect the news to be shared on the last Wednesday of the month, but we could be hearing more about PS Plus October 2020 sooner than that.

If Sony is going to stick to their older schedule, we would expect the news to be shared on September 30, 2020, followed by the games going live on October 6.

For those waiting for something different to try, a big PS4 game just went free-to-play across all platforms.

Epic Games has confirmed that Rocket League is now available to download without any extra charge.

Rocket League can be found on the PlayStation Store and still boasts the cross-play functionality of the past.

The best part of the whole deal is that you no longer need a PlayStation Plus subscription to play online.

And for those who are preparing to download Rocket League for the first time, there is a special event currently live on servers.

“Get ready to hop in the Battle Bus because Llama-Rama is on the way! Rocket League’s very first in-game event since the launch of free to play will be live this Saturday, September 26 at 3 p.m. PDT (10 p.m. UTC) through October 12.

“Beginning with Llama-Rama, in-game events are going to be slightly different from what you may be used to. To unlock the items from the event, you’ll need to complete Event Challenges.

“Each Event Challenge you complete will grant a specific Event Item once you claim it from the Challenges Menu. Complete them all to unlock Rocket League’s newest car, the Battle Bus! Check out the items in the slideshow below!

“We hope you enjoy Llama-Rama and all of its items on September 26. Get ready to assemble your squad and drop in. Good luck, and have fun.”
