The World Ends With You Anime Gets Beautiful New Visual

The upcoming The World Ends with You anime series has received a brand new visual, which shows the cast in action.

The World Ends with You was originally released for the Nintendo DS in 2007, where it quickly gained a cult following. The game was adored for its unique characters, emotional story, and unique dual-screen battle system. It has since been remade for mobile phones and Nintendo Switch, with additional content and post-game scenarios. It was recently announced that The World Ends with You is being turned into an anime series, which is due to be released in 2021.

A new piece of artwork has been released to promote the upcoming release of The World Ends with You, which shows the different participants of the Reaper Game battling against Noise monsters. This follows a recent 90-second teaser trailer that was released. The artwork can be seen in full on the official Twitter page for the series.

The official website for The World Ends with You anime series has also announced seven new voice actors who will be lending their performance to the show. Kenjiro Tsuda will voice Sanae Hanekoma, Satomi Arai will voice Uzuki Yashiro, Anri Katsu will voice Koki Kariya, Kenji Takahashi will voice Yodai Higashizawa, Takayuki Fujimoto will voice Sho Minamimoto, Hitomi Nabatame will voice Mitsuki Konishi, and Hiroshi Shirokumi will voice Megumi Kitanji. The anime will receive an English release, but it’s currently unknown whether it will feature a dub and whether the original case from the game will reprise their roles.

The World Ends with You was one of the best games of its era, and it always seems as if Square Enix is teasing the notion of a sequel – especially with the new content added in the remasters. If The World Ends with You anime takes off and attracts a new audience, then the game might receive the sequel that fans have waited years to see.
