Role-playing games Yakuza: Like A Dragon and Scarlet Nexus are coming to Xbox Series X, with the former being a launch title.
Today’s Xbox 20/20 event revealed a lot of new games for the Xbox Series X, primarily from third party studios such as Sega and Bandai Namco.
Two Japanese role-playing games were announced for the new console from those companies, in the form of Yakuza: Like A Dragon and Scarlet Nexus.
Yakuza: Like A Dragon, known as Yakuza 7 in Japan, is the latest entry in the popular beat ‘em-up series about Japanese gangsters.
However, it’s taking a drastic detour from the usual gameplay and will instead be a turn-based role-player, featuring a whole new cast of characters.
Not only is it coming to Xbox Series X as a launch title, it will also see release on Xbox One and Windows 10 later this year, as well as PlayStation 4.
Scarlet Nexus is a brand-new title that made its debut today. Coming from the developers that have worked on the Tales series of role-playing games, you take control of a young anime boy who uses psychokinetic powers to save the world from bizarre mutants called The Others (our favourite’s the alligator with a mini-gun in its mouth).
No release date was given, but it will also come to Xbox One and be part of the Smart Delivery service, meaning if you buy one version, you get the other for free.
